The File (Add) Command

The File (Add) menu command allows the user to create a new unique file in the CAMCAD environment.

Details

Add File in CAMCAD will create a new file in the CAMCAD File List. The newly created file can then have layers added and can also be the start point for a new design. Graphics can be added on the newly created layers of the newly created file. Files can then be written from CAMCAD, such as gerber files.

Once this command is called upon, the users will be presented with the following dialog:

Users can give the new file a specific name or stick with the default "NewFile_1".
