Turn On Layers Appropriate For Top Surface

The next step in the reverse engineering process is to use the layer list to display only the necessary information for creating geometries for the top surface. This means, layers like PAD TOP, SILKSCREEN TOP, and BOARD OUTLINE should be turned on. The Layer List can be found at Tools | Layers | Layer List.

Click the All Off button, then click next to the layers you want turned on. The colored square next to the layer name will fill with color to show that layer will be visible. Leaving other layers turned off makes the view as clean as possible.
