CCLaunch

CCLaunch is a convenient utility that allows you to extend the functionality of your CAMCAD software. With CCLaunch you are able to remap file extensions of normal CAD data files to associate them with the CAMCAD application. Windows will then automatically launch CAMCAD whenever you double-click on a file whose extension matches one of those you've specified. CCLaunch doesn't just open CAMCAD, however, it also tells CAMCAD which importer to use for each specific file type.

When you double-click on an appropriate file, i.e. DXF file, CCLaunch does the following:

1. Start CAMCAD.
2. Open a new project according to the DEFAULT.SET file.
3. Invoke the Import routine.
4. Select an import filter based on the extension of the selected file.
5. Check the selected file to see if it conforms to the selected filter (i.e. check the .HP file to see if it is really an HPGL file and not perhaps an HP EGS file).
6. If the file meets the check criteria, it will be imported.
7. During import it invokes the appropriate .IN file.
8. Once the file is imported it places the drawing on the page and matches the page to the drawing size (i.e. Fit Page to Image).

CCLaunch makes CAMCAD more efficient and therefore working with CAD files becomes simpler and easier.
